Yep, it's been a strange year for weather for us. 3rd worst winter on record this year (60+ inches of snow and weeks of single digits), followed by an unusually high number of tornados in the spring (resulting in 25 deaths in the state), followed by the worst flooding in recorded history, followed by a cool and dry summer. The growing season is about 3 weeks behind and we lost a huge portion of our crops as a result of flooding.
Word on the street is that we are in for another brutal winter. Which is fantastic because suicide rates usually spike in the winter and then go down in the spring and summer, but this year they have remained high all through the warm months and now we are facing another long, hard winter.

Hot, Flat and Crowded about global warming and what America can do to stop it. According to him "global warming" is a misnomer. It should be called "global weirding" because while warming is occurring in some locations, most areas are simply facing more bizarre and extreme weather. Awesome...
