I would comment, but his brothers on the forum summed it up nicely:

Let me get this straight. You sucked sand directly intro your engine and thought it would help anything? Are you f***ing retarted? Why the hell you think that they put air filters on cars? I can't come up with the words.?!?!?!?!

Its still funny every time I read that.  It has been reposted on a many of car forums and modified to suit.  Total hoax, if anyone was unaware, but still a great first read.

It's kind of a running joke, i've seen a few variations of it posted on a couple car forums i'm on...but it's still funny nonetheless
