What the fork...?! ***Noob***
« on: April 26, 2012, 10:11:58 PM »
So... here goes what I assume is a stupid question. Removed the fork tubes on my 750 to install some boots and was wondering about a good, reliable method for reinstalling them while insuring they are level? It occurs to me that there must be an actual standard operating procedure for this, I just haven't been able to determine what it is. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers

Use the top of the fork tube compared to the triple tree. The spec for that is in a manual. For 550s I know the tube is supposed to be even with the tree.

'Then' and 'than' are completely different words and have completely different meanings. Same with 'of' and 'have'. Set and sit. There, their and they're. Draw and drawer. Could care less/couldn't care less. Bought/brought FFS.

Doesn't have to be but the tree is where you determine measurement for both fork tubes. I have mine set above the top of the tree set to the same measurement. It helps lower the bike a bit for us height challenged beings.
