New guy checking in from NJ - 1976 CB750K
« on: September 18, 2008, 07:11:21 AM »
So I've been lurking for a while and didn't think it would be prudent of me to post until my CB750 was delivered.  Well, it showed up last night and so the fun begins!
My name is Ryan and I'm from the Northern NJ (Morristown area).  I have a few other bikes (see sig.) but this is my first CB...in fact this is my first Honda.  It's a 1976 CB750K and I got the it for $300.  It needs a good amount of work but I guess that's what the winter is for.  The seat, tank and side covers are all in supprisingly good condition and will eventually be posted for sale in the classifieds section since I plan on doing a cafe conversion.  I took some pics of the bike this morning but I'm at work and have no way up uploading them just yet.
Anyways, thanks for having me and I hope to contribute to what is already an excellent forum.

Has learned so far that..."complete" gaskets are never complete no matter where you get them, VHT Silver Case Paint is just as durable as painting your motor with chalk and cheap tire irons used with rim protectors are useless on 30 year old tires.
