Well that sucks!!! How did your grip come off??? Was it loose to begin with?If it was...you just learned a good lesson. I'm just glad to hear you are OK!! The bike can and will get fixed depending on how bad you want it fixed. You on the other hand could have not made it through so well. When you get it back up and goin'...make sure that your grips are secure.Spray some paint inside the grip and put it on the bar.Let it set up for a bit and you should be good to go. Good Luck man!!

Sorry to hear that you dumped your bike.

I have a stator cover I can send to you to help get you back on the road.

Just send me your address via PM.

All the best-

Ben

Machines can be repaired.  I'm glad you're there to do it.

My grips came off yesterday, but I was fussing with a starter switch in the back yard, not riding.  The old glue looked like the Gran Tourismo glue.

I did the research on the forum and bought a can of hair spray.  I have new bars and need to reuse the throttle sleeve.

I soaked the thing dripping gobs and let it set over night.  Had a  nice ride this morning with no problems.

I'll paint the grips on when I have the right bars.

I wonder what is the useful life of grip glue.

Glad you're still here.

Never thought of hairspray.I'll say one thing though...the black spray paint I put on mine did the trick.

When I was a kid and was racing BMX, hairspray was the thing to use for grips.  Worked great in that application.

+1  In fact, that's about all keeping my grips on now.  Maybe I should rethink that, even after all these years.

Wrapping the end of the bar in electrical tape has worked well for me.

Its just a bunch of metal, atleast YOU are fine.
