question on MC bore size
« on: October 01, 2008, 03:51:35 AM »
I have an old Honda MC, round type. I know it's mid to early 70's, likely a 500 or 550 but could be a 750. I need to put a kit in it though and need to know exactly what kit to put in.

Is there a reference for bore size for the difference bikes? I assume the 500 and 550 would likely be the same but expect the 750 may be larger. If anyone could provide some feedback I can get this rebuilt and get it to my son who is in desparate need of an MC.

Thanks in advance.

The service manuals for the 500/550s and the 750s with single disc came with 14mm MC.
I can find anything on the size of the dual disc 750s.

Ok, didn't realize both 500 and 750 had same size mc. so I'm golden for ordering an MC kit for it then.

Thanks a lot for the feedback.

In fact all the single disc cylinders from the 70's are the same size
