Topic: drive chain question

hi all
well the old girl is finally to my liking just a couple of maitanace things to do get some new tyres and a new chain and sprokets the question is the chain thats on has a split link in it is that ok for the type of power where talking about (50 bhp) or should i get a continous one the old girl is a 1977 cb550 k3

Split links are fine on these bikes. I've used them for nearly 30 years and both my current bikes have them.

Make sure that you install them with the closed end of the link facing forwards!

Was just going to say, using this description, on the "top." More accurately perhaps is the closed end should face the direction of chain travel.
