I got back from my first real road trip yesterday, and I am pumped. Last week, I toured New England, stopping in Vermont, Massachusetts and Connecticut, staying with family and friends. It was about 1,000 miles total, but I stayed on the back roads, so it amounted to about 22 hours of riding. I had to solo it, but my bike ran just fine.
I've always wanted to make a decent trip, but until last month, my '77 CB750k was not reliable enough. Once I finally got the electrics sorted, I was able to tie up the remaining issues.
I'm headed off on another trip on Friday. The local CMA chapter is making a run to visit soldiers at the Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D.C. (about 6 hours).
So the deal is this: Thanks to all the folks who have helped me along! I plan to repay the favor by continuing to photoshop Terry's head onto miscellaneous photos.
