The Leamington 100 Bike & Car Show - Dunstall Honda *short video*
« on: September 21, 2008, 08:16:42 am »
The weather in Blighty has actually got a bit drier and warmer over the last few days so a long over due ride out on my Dunstall this weekend was in order ;)

I also entered my first show "The Leamington 100 Car & Bike Show 2008". Managed to win a trophy for best restored! Needless to say I was well chuffed  ;D

The show is run in support of the Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance

The badge is the tax disc also called VED (Vehicle Excise Duty) or Road Fund Licence. This is a tax imposed on road vehicles by the government. It explains it all here if you are interested (or fed up with counting sheep to get to sleep....) ;D http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_excise_duty

One other question and I will leave you alone.......:)

Can you tell me where you got the Dunstall badges for your tank and fairing?
I have the same fairing but a different tank for the Suzuki project and I would like to use
that type of decal (badge)

thanks again

Hi Jim,

The Dunstall fairing decals are actually NOS original Dunstall ones. However, you can get them copied and I know a of a source in the UK who makes replicas of these:

http://www.sunrisegraphics.co.uk/ You can contact John Kenworthy jdkenworthy@zoom.co.uk to see how much they are - should be around $50 USD including shipping.

The Dunstall Power decals can be bought in the USA from here http://caferacingparts.com/ click on the 'misc' link. Bret is a member of this board - those decals are only $5 USD each!! http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php?action=profile;u=4112
The Heron Suzuki kits also used a round decal - I had some reproduced but have since sold them all. I have attached an image that might be of use in case you need to get some of the round decals made. Good luck with your Dunstall Suzuki project. I have loads of Dunstall info so if you ever need to check on anything I might just have the info you need!
