vetter turn signal question
« on: September 22, 2008, 06:55:01 PM »
Sorry if this is old stuff to you guys, my searching skills seem to be substandard.  Can never seem to put in the right parameters.

Turn signal lense fell out of the vetter, see profile pic for reference.  Started forward from a stop sign half a block from home, heard something hit the ground, and looked back to see the lens bouncing on the asphalt.

What fastens it in?  Looks to be simple narrow double stick tape.    Kinda neat how the turn signal lights up the road signs without the lens on it.  :)

So it looks like there were pegs on the corners of the lens that broke off when it came off.  Perhaps some double stick tape on the area where the bulb is not.  If you've had the lens off, you know what I mean.  Any suggestions on how to refasten it, or should I just try to find a different lens?

thanks

Maybe hot glue?  I put a lens back in an H4 headlight that way once.  Lasted for years until I got a newer one.

The 3m double sided tape they use to fasten body moldings onto cars comes to mind for this
