We've been talking about this in the For Sale section. Aparently DSS will be stocking them too, so someone is making them again. We just don't know who.

Possibly Honda, they had the jigs but No2 (I think) was faulty so they just stopped manufacture, if enough people nagged perhaps they re-jigged

Who says that they're not OEM?  The part number looks like a true Honda number.  And I realize that this doesn't prove anything.  In fact, at least for the U.S. market, it isn't a valid part number, nor has it ever been.  Honda has never marketed a exhaust kit for any of these bikes for our market.  But that doesn't mean that they won't fit.  I'm sure they will.  The only difference between the U.S. models and the others is color and different lights.

If you want them, I would suggest take the numbers to your Honda dealer and ask for them. They will insert the numbers in their computers and chances are Honda is selling them again. You won't have to pay shipping and if they arrive damaged you won't have to buy them.....

There are 4 part numbers for the 4 pipes.  They are 18300-333-618, 18400-333-618, 18500-333-611, and 18600-333-611, for pipes 1 through 4 respectively.  The last section of each part number may change, as it has to do with supersedes, and/or change of actual manufacturer( Honda doesn't always make the actual parts, sometimes they sub them out(Heffay)).

CMSNL is in The Netherlands.  The U.S. has a different set of parts available than the rest of the world.  And I'd like to think that if the OEM phrase is used, that it has to be a true Honda part, just as the law states for the U.S..  Most Americans, much less dealers, are totally unaware of the models available only outside the U.S..  So I wouldn't put too much faith in what a dealer says about parts from The Netherlands.

I agree 100%.  In this day and age, there is no excuse for not being able to walk in and know as much, if not more, than the salesman on a floor.  Same holds true for almost anything...

My dealer (well the Manager at least) rides a 74 CB750K.........

Used to drag race a 750 back in the day........

Lots of parts for our bikes were made by other manufacturers..

Horn- Mitsuba
Wiring Harness- Sumitomo Electric
Alternator Coils, Voltage Regulator, Rectifier- Hitachi
Gauges- NipponDenso, Nippon Sakei
Rims- D.I.D. (can't remember the words in the acronym.. Daido something)
Sparkplugs- NGK or Denso
Control Pods, Ignition Coils and Points- TEK (Tokai Electric ... ?)
Battery- Yuasa
Lights- OE Stanley
Mufflers- Sankeii (stamped on the back of the later rolled mufflers found on the 750 and 550)
Brake Calipers- Tokico
Key Switch- Niles (No longer in business)
Carburetors- KeiHin

These are all items I've seen manufacturer names on. Other items, such as filters, were likely made by someone else too..

So, the pipes could have been made by the company that once supplied them, but not directly through Honda. This then begs the question if they are doing this with Honda's permission.

The Japanese use a large number of subcontractors. It is not worthwhile to fab up your own parts. This company probably made the exhaust for Honda. There is a tip off on hidden on this page if you can find it. http://www.sankei-gk.co.jp/global/p_04.html

More likely someone bought the dies and is producing the pipes in China or Vietnam.

If they are made by the original company they are OEM. Honda probably has nothing to do with it. Honda never logoed the pipes themselves as far as I know.
