use an ohmmeter for resistance checks, clean all the corrosion inside the butt connectors,,i made a complete new harness out of brand new wire using a choppers site diagram,slickschoppers.com has one, swapped the original starter solenoid for a Ford fender style one.made it keyless with hidden switches, the hard part was the charging system but study the  charging wiring system its not that complicated,, my bike runs like a Caddilac like the saying goes,no wait bike runs like a Honda is a better saying, i added a voltmeter to the cluster which comes in very handy knowing exactly how much voltage is at the coils, goodluck

thanks for the reply mustang.... yeah im using a ohmmeter and all is looking good ...damn thats so frustrating . i was popping fuses one after the other when i turned the handlebar switch to run  and then it stoped blowing for some reason, maybe because i wiggled something . not sure .so heir i am .after i clean all connectors and use the grease to get a better connection ill look at that switch ..

Check where the wires exit the handlebar control housing or the hole in the handlebars.  Most of your shorts and frayed wires are at the outer points away from the main harness.  A harness will not just spontaneously fail somewhere inside the wrap unless it is corrosion at a splice or connector.  Honda is almost comical with their green ground wire set-up. that wire was spliced multiple times and changes directions several times adding to the confusion.

well guys ... I don't know what the problem was but I thoroughly cleaned all connection's, all of the male connectors and female and anything that would disconnect...put some grease compound that would make a better contact and prolong the life, I'm so lucky that i have a good wire harness diagram that is dead on 100% with color coded and you guys.. now tomarrow at same bat time and same bat channel , ill test the charging system .
