I know this is threadjacked but to my knowledge no one here has talked about this bike so here are some pics and a little info.
"Limited edition’ or ‘celebration’ models have long been established as a sound marketing technique for both cars and motorcycles, so when Phil Read won the Isle of Man’s inaugural Formula 1 TT on a works Honda in 1977 the stage was set for a special version of the Japanese manufacturer’s world-changing superbike. As a result, Honda commissioned Colin Seeley to build a batch of 150 replicas of Read’s winning machine. Not to be confused with the Seeley-Honda, which used a Seeley frame, the Phil Read Replica relied on special bodywork finished in distinctive and glorious ‘Honda Britain’ livery to set it apart from the standard production model along with an outstanding black open pipe silencer. One of the original 150 produced, this example is recently imported from the U.K. and unstarted"
I would love to replicate the silencer. Anyone seen one like this? I realized Sinless Cycles who owns this bike and others are only 2 hrs from me in Woodworth, La. So come monday I will be taking a ride out to see this beautiful bike.
