Okay, well heres another one.

Honda cb550 74, throttle is extremly hard to turn, when you turn it and release it, it returns very slowly. It is so hard to turn that i almost have to pull back as hard as i physically can to get it to turn, you can imagine how that is working for me when im on a hill. Should i take the throttle housing apart and spray WD-40 down the line?
Is this the cable binding up? Or is it an adjustment that can be made somewhere else?

Does your 550 have the throttle friction adjustment screw? Look for a large, knurled knob under the control pod. If you have one, back it out a few turns and see what happens. If you don't have one, look for any kinked spots. If everything looks OK on the outside, get a pressure cable luber. This clips onto the end of the cable and you attach a spray can to it, directing all the lube down the sheath. If the cables are still binding, it might be time for new ones.

How about the grip itself, does it move freely on the handle bar?

the grip itself is glued onto the throttle housing (that white plastic sleeve that goes over the handlebars) so its not slipping. I tired turning that big screw, it didnt make a difference.

Update:

Well ill be dipped in horse poopy, you guys did it again. I took the housing off my throttle, and just sprayed a bunch of WD40 down into the lines where the cables dissapear into, worked the throttle a couple of times and walaa!! That throttle snapped back at me hard enough to slap my face! Seriously though, it works great now, is smooth as silk and snaps back real fast. Problem solved. Thanks again guys!!

Lube your clutch cable as well. Remember, WD-40 isn't lube, it's just a cleaner. Use chain lube or, better yet, cable lube.

Also, do the same thing for your speedometer and tachometer cables.
