Topic: 1978 cb550k control wiring

Much of this 78 cb550k is not stock and there are not a lot of pictures around to give me an idea as to what is original.
My question is whether the handlebar control wiring goes through the handlebars,the wires were not inside the bars when I got the bike.

My 78 550k has external wires,I "THINK"that the F's had the wiring in the bars

I must have 550F bars as there are holes in the bars for the wiring.

Pretty sure Honda started wiring the bar controls outside the bars in 77 for both F and K models.  Stock bars still had the holes and the locator pin hole for the controls.

There was no 78 F model 550.
