I'm in electronic hell right now. I have a manual but there are way more wires than in the book. I'm drawing at straws. Any suggestions? Orange wire white stripe? Green wires? HHHHEEEEELLLLPPPP ???

Not to be padantic (a word I learned in the "Shameless Post Boost Thread) You must mean electric hell.  While the rectifier comes close to being electronic, that's about it on a stock '74.

So, first, what manual do you have?  And what is the bike doing or not doing?

Ok for the record I have never seen this bike run. As a matter of fact I have never seen a cb750 in person that was running. This bike was a basket case. Just the other night I got my ignition turn signals and battery done so I figured I would try them all out. To be honest I was banking on a fire but It didn't (thank god). I turned the key on and tried the signals and HOLY SH!T there was life! The left turn signals worked. This was awesome because I rebuilt them myself. After a little tinkering I got the rights to work and my dummy turn light worked. I plugged in the headlight but got nothing. Same goes for my speedo and tach.  I don't have a tail light yet. I have the exhausts and carbs off right now so I didn't try the starter. I guess my main question is what is supposed to turn on when I turn the key to the first notch?

In the pics I show what wires I have left over with nowhere to be plugged.
light blue with a white stripe
brown with a blue stripe
and the two greens that attach to the headlight nuts

the infamous red wire with nowhere to go that is hot.

And my ignition bracket I made because trying to find a stock one is ridiculous

To answer your question I have a haynes manual and the diagram is not in color and it said it was for a 72 cb750 k

Troppo it seems like I dont have any female ends to plug the greens into inside the bucket.

Well I did some more tinkering and I got my guage lights to come on but they are very dim. Is there a different bulb I could yes that may brighten them up?

Green female connectors are generally 4 way. Two males go in the front of the connector, and two go in from the back. If that helps..

G`day void
The dim dash lights might be due to a low battery or dirty connections.
As to your spare wires, light blue and a white stripe is front indicator i think, brown /blue stripe is horn buzzer and the greens go to a multi connector like jsaab said.
If you dont have a multi connector then someone has cut it off and replaced it.
Not sure what the red is but i would guess its hot, check if theres a wire missing from your ignition switch.
If you want a colour wiring i have one for a 76 750f if its any help, pm me and i`ll send it to you

The problem is I don't have any female connectors. Maybe I'm missing something. let me look again. The red wire on the side of the bike might connect to a fuse but im not sure at this point. I saw a tune up kit that included a positive battery wire and a fuse for something but im not sure what the other end hooks to.

Troppo, a color wireing diagram would be great!

Maybe a P.O. cut em off and bypassed them. Far as I know ALL grounds for a k4 are dark green. A diagram is available in the "Technical Library" of this sight. It's in color too.

Been thinking about it mate, could that be the fuse for an electronic ignition set up?
You got a new positive battery clamp and associated wiring, new battery strap  and fuse box with one fuse in it, obviously for some sort of aftermarket add on
