Primary chains
« on: October 01, 2008, 04:41:28 AM »
Need some help here please.

Have got a F2 engine that seems to be in good order. Camchain and tensioner OK, the guides have been replaced. Like to determine if the primary chains are in good order. Removed the oilpan, chains look OK, tensioner also. Is there a measurement, from let's say the casing to the tensioner, so one could see if the chains need replacing??

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Yes there is. It would make easy if you could get hold of a service manual. The service manual expalins it pretty clearly. There are manuals that can be downloaded from this site. Pat
