i hate rats. saw a few large river rats when i lived in town. now i see none, so that must mean there are none in the cutryside.

Franks tip..
 Cram cheese, peanut butter, apple.. whatever into the curled bait-holder.

 Now cut a strip of shrink wrap about an inch wide by six inches or longer..

 now wrap that bait on there tight, but leaving ends open a bit is best..


Now you are good till about 2010, they will die trying to get that bait open..

This Rat was keeping my daughter up at night trying to chew through the outside wall of the house at her bedroom.
What Rats do away from my walls is no concern to me, but this was personal.

That's a rare Western Variegated Rock Rat (note the characteristic two tone colour) and if his tree-hugging, granola-eating, Birkenstock-wearing neighbors find out about it there will be no more invitations to fondue parties and poetry readings for him.
