New guy from New York
« on: September 26, 2008, 10:20:44 PM »
Hi, I've been reading for a few days. Seems like a lot of good info.

Just picked up a 1977 750 ss with 2200 original miles from the original owner. Sat in the garage since 1981. Needs the typical stored-improperly-for-27-years tune up. I'll be needing some help.

Hi back at ya from Westchester. I have a 78K.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

Yes 2192 to be exact.

The tank has a small dent and scratch, and the side cover is cracked but other than that and a little surface rust hear and there its pretty solid. It has'nt even had the 2500 mile dealer service yet.

I haven't statred it yet. Going through the flushing and cleaning process.
