PUSH THROTTLE CABLE
« on: October 03, 2008, 07:05:55 AM »
I bought a Motion Pro push throttle cable yesterday and it seems to be about 1/2 inch too short.  According to the Motion   Pro website, it is the right part for the bike.  I have a feeling I am doing something wrong here.  Anybody come across this?

Thanks!

Others more qualified to answer but have you ran all the adjustment in on the pull cable?

yeah, I think.  I mean the carbs are closed as far as they will go and there is some slack in the pull cable.

What bike and year?
I bought motion pro cables and found they were too short and found out the cables for my 78 CB550 K are different from the earlier 550Ks,long story short, they replaced them quickly when they were aware I had a 1978 CB550K,they fit now. It's very important to get your model ID correct as not all years model specific parts are the same.

According to the motion pro website, 02-0008 should fit my bike, but I can't seem to get it to work.
