Think I'm about done with SOHC Hondas.
« on: October 03, 2008, 03:11:51 PM »
Well I'm still looking for a 500 to round out the collection ....

However.....

I started adding up the parts and frames and such. Seems I have 5 full frames (3 titled 2 not), about 6 750 engines, a 350 engine, a 400 F engine, a CB360 engine, 5 750 DOHC engines and enough Parts to various bikes to choke a horse.

I'm thinking its too much clutter and its just going to waste sitting around here.

I mean I have 5 running SOHC's......other then a 500 I'm not planning on acquiring any more.....

I think I'm gonna sell some stuff ....thin out the junk thats of no use to me.

Maybe it will help someone else in keeping thier project running.

Otherwise I'll turn around one day and have a semo trailer load of stuff.

I'm thinking its time to reign in the addiction.......

I realized the other day I didn't even know where a bike was......

Friend called me about bringing it back and I didn't know he had it.  ::)

I know the feeling, my limit is 9 bikes, leaves enough room to work on 1, and a clear space for my bar leaner where all the main ideas are generated.

Not tempted to add a 550 to the collection then? Just a 500...?  ;D

I'd love to have one of each.... that would be... hmmm.... what about an example of each K and F variant.... 8 SOHC's...??

While you're roaming your garage complaining about how many parts you have.....

.....If you happen to step on some 77 750F brake parts, just send them to me.

It will be one less thing to worry about for ya, it's the least I can do to help  ;D ;D ;D

Seriously Tim, It will probably do your mind good to de-cluter. Plus it makes room for new different projects when they show up.

I think 3 bikes will be my limit, or 4 if I count the partners scooter.
(1) cop bike restore (2) 650 chopper just for fun (3) partners bike so she can keep up with me on the highway.
With 3 cars and a 5 metre power boat I think my garage/yard is about full. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Might you have a 77 or 78 750K frame with title?  I have a nice 77 that has a "junk status" title - (that means dead).   I've contacted its-titles and another one and they all agree, I'm screwed.

oh, and I am doubtful you are completely done - this disease is too much fun.  :)

Well, if it's  a garage sale a KGhosts's, I could use:

750F1 Throttle push cable
sidecovers for same (either side)
Front fender
tail light
seat pan
ummm... probably some other stuff.
