hello fellow riders! I don't know if my first intro even went through. I am here in cool colorado, with  my '75 cb750. Weather/temperature permitting, I ride from Fountain, CO to Centennial, CO to get to work. Roughly 72 miles one way. I got the bike from a coworker/freind who had too many other projects and not enough time or garage space. The old CB had seen better days. Carbs were frozen, tires weather cracked, clutch cable rusted thru, plus the entire engine was covered in a baked on layer of sludge. What did I get myself into?
Well, I sprayed ether across the carbs and jump started the bike. I verified that the starter worked and that the bike actually fired! 4 carb kits, tons of elbow grease, fresh oil and gas and she lives! In order to get her on the road, I needed both tires, front turn signals, and a battery. now that I have all that, I ride as much as I can.
I didn't get her on the road until late August and the weather here in Colorado turns chilly in late sept. I'll be bummed when I have to put her in the garage for the winter. Then again I have plans for her to get her ready for next spring.

snowfighter... that is about the worst commute that i can possibly think of... not only is it to and from springs/denver it is THRU springs.   :(

say your bike gets 50 miles per gallon... that's still a 12 dollar ride... say you work 25 days per month... that's still 300 per month ON A BIKE!
AND daily headaches.

move up closer to sanity   ;)  and welcome to the forums.   :)
