Hello Everyone.  My name is Blake from Dalton, GA.  I recently purchased a 1972 CB750.  I’ve been lurking for a few weeks and would like to thank you all for posting and sharing your knowledge.  I’d like throw a special shout out to Iggy who’s rebuild thread is exactly what I was looking for.  Keep up the good work.  If any of you are located in my area, I’d love to meet up and talk shop.  Thanks again for making this place so great.

Hey Blake.  Welcome.  I'm in Athens.  Not very near Dalton, some TN members may be closer.  There has been talk from time to time about getting together, but it hasn't happened yet.  Everybody's got lots on their plates I guess.

Someone found my thread useful? Wow.  ;D

Super nice machine. Stock pipes and the grab bar's still on it? I have the jealousy.  :D

Yeah, your thread is great.  I've been following it for a while now.  Your's is the first where I actually thought, "hey, if he can do it, maybe I can too."  So off I went.  I love my bike.  I actually sold the '07 CBR, but I wouldn't give up CB for anything.  The CBR was awesome, but I feel like a million bucks when I ride the CB.  I know no one else cares, but when I got it, it wasn't running and I didn't know the difference between a carburetor and a cam chain.  I didn't even have any tools.  So it was a long stretch for me to think about being where I am now.  Once I got it tuned up and timed right, I couldn't believe how much like the CBR it was.  I'm having a blast and really appreciate the time and effort everyone takes to post pics, document their builds, and just be generally helpful.  I look forward to seeing your finished ride.  I know your close.  I bet you can taste it.

HA! That's exactly the vibe I got off the original Dummies thread as well. Strangely, rebuilding the top end of the engine was the easy and quick part  ;D

Tastes just like pennies - or is that a stroke? Hard to tell anymore but yep, I can't wait! You did a great job on yours. Mine... I think this is a first run before making it really nice. It's a sickness. ;)
