27 here.  Seems to me that each year you get older the harder it is to remember how old you are.  I feel bad for you old guys. ;D

kerosene!!  Luxury!

We had to power ours from burning peat moss from the bogs were were living under!

But, we couldn't watch it, because our eyes were swelled shut from the daily beatings mom and dad gave us.  We could only just barely hear it above the ringing in our ears.

Those were the days...

Soon to hit 57. Class reunion? Next yr would be the 40th. Been riding bikes longer than most of you have been alive. Remember fondly the days my Japanese dirt bike the shift-lever and brakes on  just the opposite side of my Triumph road bike. Don't really worry too much about getting older, cause no matter how old you are , it sure in the heck beats the alternative.
A good bike mechanic only needs two tools, WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move, but should, use the WD40. If it does move but shouldn't use the duct tape.

Advantages of being a maturer member of this forum:

1. Kidnappers are not very interested in you.
2. In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first.
3. No one expects you to run........anywhere.
4. People call at 9 PM and ask, "Did I wake you?"
5. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.
6. There is nothing left to learn the hard way.
7. Things you buy now won't wear out.
8. You can eat supper at 4 PM.
9. You can live without sex but not your glasses.
10. You get into heated arguments about pension plans.
11. You no longer think of speed limits as a challenge.
12. You quit trying to hold your stomach in no matter who walks into the room.
13. You sing along with elevator music.
14. Your eyes won't get much worse.
15. Your investment in health insurance is finally beginning to pay off.
16. Your joints are more accurate meteorologists than the national weather service.
17. Your secrets are safe with your friends because they can't remember them either.
18. Your supply of brain cells is finally down to manageable size.

Tip for the day: Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

I was just wondering how many more riders are in here that are older than 50 (like me!)

Is there an age/membership breakdown somewhere on the site?
To answer the question...my average age is 26.5.  :)

Yeah Nick its taken a long time to finally burn out enough synapses to be able to cope with this world, being a survivor I no longer have to worry about who thinks I'm an #$%*, because most of my enemies are dead or in a home some place. he he So age will do the same as booze just not as much fun. LOL.
