I think that thing up frount might be weights to keep the frount end down.  Who knows what would have happened if he didn't have those. Might have flipped. ::)

Juha, you've hit the nail on the head there my friend. That's what makes these bikes the most feared motorcycles in ET bracket racing.
The fact that it is impossible to spin the rear wheel makes them the most consistent bikes on the strip.
There was a thread a few weeks back where one was being sold and people on here thought that the price that had been bid was to much despite the fact that it had not reached the sellers reserve. The seller had timing tickets, 15 I think all within 2 thousandths of a second of one another. I commented then that prize money from one race would return the purchase price.
I wish I wasn't committed as much as I am with the LSR bike, I'd have bought that sucker on the spot.

I think that's one of those bikes where the right person will have to come along and buy it, it doesn't personally appeal to me.

The device in front of the front tire looks to be a stripe taker.  Similar to a metal disk inside a spoked wheel, it it what trips the beams at the finish line.  The light beams at the start are slightly above the ground and hit the tire, but the finish line lights are typically 6 inches above the ground.  A stipe taker allows you to consistently trip the beams on the big end.

Many cars and dragsters use them as well.

Dave, I've been thinking of doing a CB750A for the stip and have spoken to several people willing to help.
Can I ask you a quetion ?...will the A crankcases fit in a none A frame.
I ask this as I may be able to pick up a bottom end and f/k frames are much easier to come by.

From what I've been told, the A frames are different due to the wet sump of the A engine.  The A frames are deeper, so you would need an A frame for an A engine.

I would suggest checking with the rest of the 'matic gang at http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/hondamatic/  and see what they can tell you.

I do know that my CB750 pipes don't fit my A chassis all that well.  But they are better than nothing.
