G'Day From Another Aussie
« on: October 04, 2008, 04:30:44 PM »
Just a message to say hello and introduce myself to the forum.

I now have what started as '76 Honda CB550F but has morphed a little. The bike was originally built by Hand Made Racers in Queensland, Australia. I bought it last month and have just had it registered for the road in my state. It needs a little work to get it running smoothly, but nothing that can't be fixed.

Just came back to road bikes after a year off them, but got into dirt bikes in the mean time. That included a 2,500km trip on a dirt bike to Cape York at the top of Australia.

Anyways, that is a quick summary. And here is a photo of the bike in my garage  :)

Thanks for the welcome guys.
I just spoke with the builder of the bike, seems the engine is not exactly stock. It's running oversize pistons and the intake has had some work. Not going to pull it apart just yet, leave it running as is for a while before I start to play with it. Plenty of reading to do around first!
