I think Comstars look right on some bikes.  What model did those come from?  I'm not up on Comstar terminology, would you call those reversed since they have an edge on the outside rather than the metal folding in?  I have a set like those that I believe came from a CB900 I want to use on a 550, but the rear wheel doesn't end up centered, so some I'll have to do some work.

They are the reverse comstars.  Most of the 650 sohc4's had them.

My 79 CB650 has the pressed alloy look Comstars, but I like them and man are they easy to clean after spoked wheels. ;D
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

What all did you have to do to the comstars to get them to fit/work correctly with our 550's?

I guess more specifically what did you do to get them to work... more details would be nice, maybe a pic?

Thanks!
