read on this site somewhere where someone was haveing problems installing fuel lines.well i just went through that my self on my 750,seems like those nipples on the carbs donot like to stand still while hose is being installed.here is how i cured that i used a coat hanger no varnish or paint on it (high tech) threaded through gas line, little grease on the end and clip in proper space.shoved her down and presto hose on with clip in place.now for the tank end little fingers maybe, on your on on this end

Good trick! I guess mine were among the few that stood still.

For anyone else looking for info about fuel lines for an early 750, the lengths for the stock run are 6 an 12 inches, and 1/4 inch lines will work just fine. Home depot and the like have some good low cost fuel line that won't stiffen up, it's located near the lawnmower fuel caps and sparkplugs.

 cheers

I picked up some urethane line used to racing karts, you push it on and forget it, no clamps no nothing. You have to either cut it off or yank reak hard. I like it because I can make up  an line-filter line, push it on and then connect it to the petcock.
