Hello from Hawaii
« on: October 11, 2008, 11:24:30 PM »
I picked up a 71 CB500 as a project a few months ago. I love working on this bike. This forum has been a great resource. It's just so slow getting parts out here to the islands.  If there are any riders out there on the island of Oahu, give me a shout. Maybe we can meet up and go for a ride. I am slowly letting the leash out on my CB500 as I am not overly sure about the reliability. It had some serious carb issues when I bought it. Cleaned them, new jets and software and synced them, but I don't have great confidence in it yet. Then again, getting stranded anywhere in Hawaii is no big deal. Not like I am in a desert hundreds of miles away from a ride.

Anyway, I look forward to swapping stories on this forum.

Take care and aloha,

Bob

Welcome. I believe you might be our first from Hawaii. Post some pics of the bike, and oh, maybe some scenery. Some of us are about to head into winter. ;)
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.
