Geez, I'd like one of them as a street bike! ;D

I had a set of vintage (meaning old and rock hard) Carlisle 19" flat track tires on
a 3-wheeler I built in the late 80's.

Hey nice job mate, could you legally ride that on the road? I want one! (with a CB750 engine, of course......)  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I don't know who these guys are buy I'm thinking a quick trip to You Tube for some sound and motion to go with the pix.

edit: Time for Ecosse to take a break; I just posted a shot twice. ::)

there's always the Honda factory built street trackers that never got imported here:

The Honda FTR223

A good bike mechanic only needs two tools, WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move, but should, use the WD40. If it does move but shouldn't use the duct tape.

Charlie T,

First time I've heard about it; do you have any information about the FTR223?

Thanks either way... pretty fun looking ride!

No info at all. Accidently came across them in a listing of Honda models. Had no idea what an FR223 was when I clicked on the model link.. Preetty sweet looking. All I did was just google ftr223.

Wow! Did a search and they seem to have a minor cult following in Japan.

If you go to this website: http://www.vft.org/ForSaleWanted/10Octt23JM-HondaTwin3.jpg
just scroll thru the ads. All variety of flattrackers, quite a few Honda ones in there, including this monster with a vtr 996 superhawk motor in it. The old XL 350 and the 500 singles were always quite popular on the flattracks.

A good bike mechanic only needs two tools, WD40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move, but should, use the WD40. If it does move but shouldn't use the duct tape.

Thanks Charlie,

I think I've seen that site before a while back. Anyway, there's some good info and nice images!

I like old photos of racing action too.
