How's this deal for a '78 750k?
« on: October 12, 2008, 01:24:47 AM »
Just picked this up tonight. Parked about 5 years. Has frozen carbs, but motor kicks nicely:

Was asking $550, I paid $500.

It's fun to buy bikes when it's snowing out.

Buy in the snow, sell in the sun, will make a man patient, and rich.

Man, is it worth it to you? I pay anywhere from $150.00 to $500 for projects and sell anywhere from 1600-5000.  It all averages out.  I am a big believer in divine guidance and destiny.  Look for coincidences and odd things that stand out to tell you if this is the path for you.  You might just be getting into something that demands you grow. (new skills, faith, etc..) Or, you might be getting into something that is so good it demands thankfulness.  Hey, it is Sunday morning!

Buy it and it is a POS, "god help me"
Buy it and it runs like new "god thank you"
you can't lose, so why worry?

Certainly. They are missing the key and a lock tumbler or two. Other than that, they seem pretty good.

What are they worth to you?

I've got the same bags an I picked up locks at Home Depot of all places.  +/-$10 for both.

The pipes are shot. I'll be digging for some over the winter. I found a nice set of stockers for my 550 for $200. I'm hoping to do the same with a little patience.

Both covers have the tabs, but the left one has a crack. You can have them if you send me better replacements first.

The saddlebags are in fair condition. They are Bates and the paint is really flat. I'd have to clean them up and get some really good pictures so you could figure out what you're willing to spend on them. I'd sell them to a boardie at a discount, but I'm not going to give them away. I've already got them pulled off the bike. Thanks for the interest no matter what.
