Can ayone tell me if Honda OEM rings ever had one piece oil rings.

I just bought some original Honda rings sets on ebay and they come with one piece oil rings and am thinking this guy might have pulled a switcheroo.

The only ones I've seen were OEM three piece.

Original were one piece but modified to 3 piece in about 71 to improve oil consumption, about same time as exhaust valve guide seals fitted

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).
