Stator for 76 cb550k

My stator is fried on my 76 550k any one got any ideas on wear I can score one?  I'm in Los Angeles but i'll pay for shipping obviously...

Sory but i got to ask, are you sure its the stator and how have you tested as in 30+years i NEVER seen a fried stator, if it really is any 500/550 four will fit
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

just removed the stator from the bike and the previous owner managed to get the wires all pinched together so i'm gonna redo those and see how that fixes things

Ah well that is a MECHANICAL fault, bit like wiping the cover off in an accident, seen that regularly just aint seen an electricaly fried one.

I had one where one of the varnished wires was broken and just soldered it back together and it worked fine

yeah that was the issue one of the varnished wires was being a bit pesky, fixed it up and finally I am getting a good charging system!

 been there, did that  ;D
 Ended up fitting a CB750 one into a new 550 housing
