I put my bike together after having some head work done, and began the process of getting the oil pump primed, my least favorite job. I was stymied when I hit the starter button and could only get the bike to turn over slowly. I connected a car battery instead of the Yuasa, and the same thing occurred, slow turn over with no oomph. A couple of questions:
Does anyone have a photo of the starter gears next to the flywheel? Perhaps I installed them incorrectly.
Is it possible to remove the starter motor without removing the carbs? I can see that the cam chain adjuster will have to come off, but it would be great to not have to pull the carbs.
Can anyone detail how to bypass the solenoid to test it?
Any other ideas?
I've searched some and couldn't find any definitive answers although I'm sure they exist.
Thanks for your help!!
