I've replaced the proper plates (70's goldwing B plate) and it did absolutely nothing for my clutch/primary chain rattle. It quiets down when the engine warms up (slightly) and seems to go away completely when clutch lever is squeezed.  I hold the clutch in at stoplights, otherwise it sounds like a bunch of bolts are bouncing around inside the crankcase and I just assume people think I don't know how to take care of my bike. Haven't synced the carbs yet, thats the next step.

Well known problem, but after synching the carbs, you have to adjust the clutch according to your owners manual. That helped a lot on mine, but you will always have it, more or less.
...if you got the ability to act...

It may get more eyes on what you posted.  I have had a few threads I started recently that just went away.
I don't have a motorcycle, sold it ('85 Yamaha Venture Royale).  Haven't had a CB750 for over 40 years.

Isn't that better than starting a whole new thread about the same thing?

I think new folks of which there are a lot do a search and find a thread and want more info. It is not a bad thing some of the newer member seem more motivated to make their bikes run better. We old farts are just happy they run.  ;D
