I finally got it
« on: September 20, 2005, 10:17:32 PM »
I posted here a while back and now that it is fall I finally got the bike, it's a 72-73 cb 750
This is my first motorcycle
a few questions:
I need a starter relay and a harness the battery was attached backwards and melted everything down.
The bike was built 10-72 is this a '72 or a '73
What is a good source for pieces parts aside from ebay
Im sure I will come up with a million other questions.
I farted and made my son cry.

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

David Silver Spares is probably the best resource for 750 parts.

Congrats on the 750.  You're gonna love it!

Look in the FAQs area and there is a link for sites that you can get sparts from. I never get anything from david silver if i can find it elsewhere unless you want EVERYTHING stock. They are expensive!

Actually, in my experience, I've found DSS has reasonable, often better prices than most other places on the parts I've purchased, even with the exchange rate.  Plus, not only are their shipping charges comparable to U.S. suppliers, but the shipping times are MUCH faster.  I almost always get my parts from them less than a week after ordering.

Well I suppose it depends on the parts but everything I have ordered so far was more expensive on DSS. Quality is aboutthe same and shipping is a week or under depending if it comes from canada or not.

But besides that, the faq has lots of sites that may be of interest anyways.
