That Indian is pretty out there... in a good way!
OK, hope this isn't redundant.
Hey scunny, appreciate the post of the Indian!
Nice to see those old bikes OUT THERE!
Bill, hope you don't mind that I kinda made this photo a bit bigger, I LIKE this bike.
Bill, I wouldn't call the Yamaha Redundant. Back in 67' (when I went to Japan while in the Air Force) I was into 2 strokes and hadn't been totally bitten by the Honda bug yet.
My intention was to try to buy a Yamaha TD250 Road Racer, make it "Barely" Street Legal, bring it back to the states and wipe up some of thos "so-called" Hot Bikes.
I had NO IDEA how much they would cost ($ - Yen, back then was $1 was equal to 360 yen) Most things in Japan was about 1/2 the cost of the same thing in the U.S. I just had that dream and didn't really realize just how involved that undertaking would be AND I found out that those motorcycles could not be bought in Japan (had to do it in the states.
U checked with Yamaha, then with Kawasaki, then with Suzuki, then with Honda and that was when I spotted the 66' (in 68') Honda CB72 that I bought. Great bike, but not up to what I had in mind, in the beginning of that quest. Never regretted buying that Hawk either, only regretted that I didn't get hold of period performance parts for that one and KEEP IT!
Okay, I'm through ranting about myself.
Check this one.
