Thought the same about the music... the real music being the inline four! Yeah he was sans pudding bowl. I guess if you're gonna split open your noggin it would be an honor to do it on an ACE!

Springfield MA. track and one crazy lookin' guy.

edit: note that the company was called Indian Motocycles, not motorcycles.

The signage in the background reminded me of this; it's not a misspelling on their part. ;)

    My Granddad was a VERY young man bt that time. :D He AND my Dad spent most of their motorcycling miles on Indians though (the REAL Indians)! 8) ;)

I'm still a Cafe/ TT/ Euro-centric/ Anglophile who loves Japanese hardware but these Trackers are special.

          I'm not sure about some of the words that Bill uses here (Anglophile?), but I'd like to second his comments on liking the Cafe/TT style bikes, but I also have a feelings towards the Trackers. ANd, like Bill said,"If You EVER Do This Thing, Please Post It Here!

          You know, it's hard to tell (the way my head's been spinning the past few months (battling with the S & S Team) but (now that you mention it) I knew at one time that the Indian Four had it's beginnings as an Ace. ::) Thank you for bringing that up. ;) I agree that just the "Feeling" of that history an old bike like the Henderson Four or about any of those old bikes would give such a rush just having it there in ANY condition would be Awesme. 8) ;)

          Hey, I consider that a compliment because I usually get beat to the punch, on things like that.  ;)  They are pretty wicked bikes alright. Myself, I'd like to see how that BSA 750cc Rocket III performs. I have never seen anything to indicate how they would run or how they would handle. I've seen how the Gold Stars handle and they sounded great while going like mad!  8) ;) I remember seeing a friend of ours power sliding around the curve in the track, on his Gold Star and it was awesome! Also witnessed a Matchless Typhoon (600cc single) do that and both were on asphalt tracks! If I can find a Matchless Typhoon Flat Tracker, I'll post it. ;)

I am getting the feeling that 2/3 of the folks here have never heard a Manx or Goldstar at Full Song... :o

           I never heard the Manx, but have the Gold Star. I'd even bet that a number of folks never heard of, much less heard the sound from a Matchless Typhoon either. Don't know if there were any other 600cc singles back then or any that were bigger (back then, in the 60's and earlier)

Manx? Goldstar? Ohhhh, don't you mean Mannix?

I remember watching as a kid and the song, or intro, was pretty snappy too. But I don't think he had a gold star... he was a private detective or something.

Smart a$$.

      MANNIX?????????? :o ::) :D

          Just how long have you been awake Bill? ::) Or should I have said, when was the last time you actually went to sleep for any time at all? :D :D ;)

        BTW, let me trow something else in the mix. ;D I couldn't find any Flat Track examples, so you'll just have to imagine one out of this Matchless Typhoon. I've seen them running on a Scrambles Track and they sure could cut their way around a track without ANY problem. ;)
