Upper case will require machining. Yes we do it if case arrives with no studs in it.

Jay,

My post at SatanicMechanic.de/board has gotten 31 hits. I'm hoping some of those guys show enough interest to ante up (especially with the value of the Euro vs the US$).  I'm also hoping a member of the chopper board(s) has posted for those guys too. Please keep us up to date so I'll know how many kits Mike and I have to purchase each to make this happen. I guess we could always stock your shelves and you could sell off our stock. I'm itching for this to happen.

Jay,

are these 70mm, or larger? I might need a set for my Japauto block, but I would need 70+mm  :-\

Cheers,
Axl

I'm interested, if these oil leaks people talk about are no issue anymore?

Looks like 4 firm and 3 questionable plus anyone else that may want to join up.

You guys seen the prices of Dynoman's piston kit? Not advertised but approximately $800 (vs Jay's $475) from what I was told.

Jay, I'm in for full job. Let us know when and I'll ship cylinders and case half to you. Plus I need my second set of cylinders redone with my 900 kit.

754 is going to need a final price including shipping and possible customs charges. Perhaps you need to ship his "used warranty replacement parts" via USPS to avoid the high charges  ;)

I just need a shipping price, and it need not be Priority Mail to sit around when it gets here.

I dont mind having full value stated, so it can be insured... and customs charges I have to live with  (sometimes they charge sometines not).

I just could not find shipping info  or policy on the APE site, never got a breakdown of what I was paying for.. just a sum. Perhaps I need it shipped a different method or pick it up in WA state.

Why not get 'em sent to Jerry and ask him (nicely........) to send 'em on to you as "used obsolete motorcycle parts, Christmas present, no value" or somtink like that?

Don't expect too many favors from him though, he's already all "favored out" after buying me a set for Christmas, ha ha! ;D

Dammit Terry, how'd you know?

No need to ask nicely as it's something I'd willingly do. After all I shipped some X brand side covers to OZ. Terry, did you get hit with any additional charges? Jay could send them with my stuff after he puts my cylinders together and opens up my case so it would take a little longer. Wish I was headed your way again  :-[

Well it's a good time to come visit Jerry, as I write this the Aussie Dollar has dropped to 64.5 US cents (down from 98 only a few weeks ago) so you can come over here and live like a king, if you're quick!

The flip side is a mate of mine just came back from Britain (he went over for the Staffordshire bike show) and all he could afford was a half star flea pit in London with just a sink in his room. I think I'll stay here and sell stuff to Americans in US dollars, and just dream about that Harley ride along route 66.............

Our import laws are great as of a couple of years ago, we don't pay any import duty on old bikes, and nothing on any items valued at less than $1000.00.

About three years ago (before our laws were changed in my favor) Sean sent me his parts to paint, and he declared their value at 500 bucks for insurance. Aussie customs told me I had to pay another 200 bucks tax, but when I convinced them that I was only painting it to send back to Sean, they "waived" the tax. The box also contained my new Megacycle cam and some other parts that I "forgot" to mention to customs. Oh well............  ;D

I hope something happens on this front though I'm not sure if it is the 970 or 1000 pistons. I'm also unclear about fitting sleeves in regard to ventilating the block. I'd buy 2 kits IF I get a voucher for discount machine work from APE.

Mike/Jay,

If thats what it takes to make this happen I'm in for 2 kits also. I'll bank my 2nd until someone wants one. Looks like thats 7 or 8 at least. The 1000 sounds better to me.

Sean, you in?
754, you in (providing you know extemporaneous expenses)?
Axl, I don't even need to ask (unless you want 2 also).
Leino, you in?
Paulages, you in?

Who else? Belly up to the bar boys! It's serious time again. #$%* or get off the pot! Besides, Mike needs more heads to work on.

Sean, you in?

Man it's hard watching this thread ;)  I've got an Ape crank, Ape rods, A frickin' gorgeous Rieck head, new chains, tensioner, rockers,clutch,etc.. just need a cam and some of these pistons/cylinders to make a beasty motor to throw in the Sumbich.

I've been unemployed since August and am signed up for a semester of school/training in the Bio Manufacturing field and won't have a penny to my name until Summer starts and (fingers crossed) I am gainfully employed again.

So yes, Jerry, I'm definitely wanting a set but won't be able to fund it at the moment. Hopefully Jay will keep these offered at APE so I can jump on it later this year. Those of you who get these puppies pumping up and down in the meantime, please keep the chest thumping to a minimum :'( ;) ;D ;D ;D
Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame

Jay,

Bottom line, how many do you need?? We can make it happen. I want the 1000. How much cash up front.

Oh yeah, Sean needs a job for Christmas.
