CB750 Frame Repair Kits Still Available
« on: October 24, 2008, 12:48:00 PM »
Guys, I have some good news. After waiting for months to see my first machined set of frame inserts in almost 1 year, Mr. Charles put 2 sets in my hands this morning. Those are going to a good friend of Mike's (Juha) and Dave. I pick-up 4 more sets tomorrow.

Mr. Charles is retired and has lots of bad days and a few good ones. I can't promise there will be anymore or when. I have 4 sets that can be sent next week to anyone wanting one. I'll post this link with several testimonials and you can PM me for details off line.

Best Regards,
Gordon

Here is the kit - It does come with instructions on how to repair a frame that has been cut for head clearance.

Pardon my intense dumbness but what the heck are frame repair kits?
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Click that link in the first post for the post that fully explains how they work, but in short, by installing them on a 750, you'll be able to remove part of the frame to gain access to the top end.

Not so much a repair as a modification.

I'm not sure how your 650 is set up, but you can't take the valve cover off a stock 750(with the exception of the 750A).

It allows you to remove the head on a cb750 with the motor in the frame.
One thing 650 owners take for granted.
(or just another fix/upgrade they integrated into the last of the SOHC lineup IMO  ;D )
