Hey Bob, do you have the 550K?  If you do you could try out my comstars for my 78F...  I'll need em back for my build but you can try em out if you like.

Cheers-

Not without spacers and some minor swing arm tweeking but it can be done.  I got my Comstars off of a small cc Honda Hawk parts bike as I recall.

spreading the swingarm about 1/2 inch with a hydraulic jack so the spacers and axle would fit from the other bike.

Couldnt you shave the spacers down a little.   Recently there is a 550 with the revese comstars on here.

You mean this one;

These wheels came from an '84 CB750 DOHC,  The front wheel went straight on, the rear wheel needed the spacers turning down to fit within the 550 swingarm and also the sprocket carrier turning down to bring the wheel on centre and the rear sprocket back into line with the front one.

Sounds like a lot of work but it actually wasn't, the working out took the time, but you're more than welcome to my drawings and calcs if you need them.

Not seen that one before, I'm going to keep an eye on it's progress now though, looks interesting :)

I would imagine that since the 550 & 650 chassis are essentially the same (?) getting the 650 rear wheel to fit should involve a lot less work than I had to do. The front wheel is exactly the same as mine, although the forks look different, like they can mount proper brake calipers :D
