Buy or Repaint My CB750 K3 Sunflake Orange Fuel Tank?
« on: October 31, 2008, 07:09:57 pm »
I either want to buy another decent 1975 CB750 K3 Sunflake Orange tank or find a competent painter who would use stripe decals. Two Guys I trusted, screwed up previous paint jobs and would like advice or lead to another tank.

How did you do your own? Using what materials?

Theres a thread round here somewhere about my experimentation with Candy Gold.

If your gonna do your own and your not a sadist ...try DonDirtbiker. He sells the kits.

Decals are Available.

I enjoy the pain and frustration that painting brings.. ::)

check your pm's, there's a recipe for it. This requires a guy who paints for a living. Or, Dondirtbikers kits are nice too, as mentioned. My 550 came out a little different than an exact O.E. match, but the quality is real good.

Edit: see "sunrise orange paint" in the faq section.
