Man, why do websites use black backgrounds with white lettering? Freakin' torture. After 10 minutes of reading, my eyes feel all screwed up.....as I struggle to type this, waiting for them to adjust.....

My problem is where there is little contrast between the background and writing.  If I have to try to adjust the angle of my screen or get out my glasses(magnifiers), I am likely to just give up.

Red text on a blue background is worse.  Also blue text on black background.  See both way too often.
