Welcome to my nightmare
« on: March 13, 2009, 05:21:33 PM »
Just kidding - I hope!

Here is the old CB750 chopper I ended up with that I want to turn into a 1/8 mile toy.

Hope to start ripping into it and eBaying parts to suppliment the project within days....

What's the final look you are aiming for?
I think the thing I most like about motorcycling is the speed at which my brain must process information at to avoid the numb skulls who are eating pies, playing the ukulele, applying make-up etc in the comfort of their airconditioned armchairs as they make random attempts to kill me!!!!!!!

Final look, probably a basic old school drag bike.

No fuel tank, only the essentials to get down the track.

Not sure if I'll pull the motor and cut all the frame tabs, etc this early in the game, have to wait and see.

The frame has been cut, and I need to decide on how much to shorten the forl tubes/which tube length to buy.

Struts on the back, low as it will go still function, probably no extended swingarm or wider rear wheel at this time.

Low budget look I guess is one way to look at it......

But I'd prefer it not really look like it, if that makes any since.....

 ;)

Damn, you gonna sell those extended forks?
I'm betting the chopper boys on here would like first dibs for that set.
Actually you could sell a lot of the stock stuff off that bike too, the rear end looks fairly original, er hang on the moths have been at the guard. ;D

I'm wanting a set of stock length forks - and you would need the sissy bar to match the seat -

Make me a reasonable offer, or trade.....

You're close enough that we could meet half way or I could even deliver.....

Maybe you want to make an offer on the whole bike -

New rims, spokes and OEM tires.

New chain and spockets.

Nice chrome fork brace and chrome dust cap covers too.

Toss it in the van next week and bring it down for the right $$$

I've got a bunch of parts, a couple extra motors, couple extra frames, etc. Send me a pm on what you would be interested in.
