Humanity at its best. What you are doing for your neighbor is fantastic. I have some old cl350 pipes and mufflers I was going to sell on eBay if you want them for this project. They aren't perfect underneath the wrap but they could be sanded and cleaned up or just re-wrapped.
So you are donating this project to your neighbor when it is finished!?! If so, that's pretty dang amazing! Looking forward to your build up of this bike!Rachet~

Looking forward to your build up of this bike!Rachet~i'm donating it to my neighbor/friend. he's my neighbor but over the last two years we've grown to be good friends. i love building motorcycles. actually i prefer bringing them back from the dead. i've never built a cafe out of a running bike. Hell, trixie arrived in boxes (see the post i'm finished). i could build them to sell but them i'd be one of those chopper building pussies. i only build them for friends. no one else can truely appriciate them if they don't see the process. anybody can write a #$%*ing check. real people should have real motorcycles. not the wannabe #$%*nuts thet ride their harleys from home to hooters then home again. so to all my cafe breathern show those cookie-cutter harley riders what a real motorcycle lookes like.

Frame looks great, how did you do the round off on the back? Also is that same motor? It looks brand new! Lots a work, huh explain how you cleaned that motor up!

Lots a work, huh explain how you cleaned that motor up!the rear hoop is a piece of round tube welded/filled and ground smooth. that was all 10diamond. the motor is the same one as before. there's nothing a little simple green and a scotch bright pad can't handle.....except this motor so i threw a half gallon of simple green at it. painted the cases and jugs, then polished up the shinny bits on the buffer. my craftsman buffer has definatly earned its keep. i threw in some new rings and honed the cylinders.
Nice call on that blue!I hope you take this in the spirit in which it's meant; it looks like French blue (bleu?) on my monitor... I like French blue. Also looks like a blue available on the BMW M3 I think called Sebring Blue. Anyway, good call.
