Hello and my 550F!
« on: November 08, 2008, 12:24:15 PM »
Hi all.
Looking forward to studying this site and doing some mods to my 1975 CB550F.

I am looking for potential motor build-up and fork/shocks rebuild/upgrades.
I know the style/period pieces I need.

My bike is clean but I want to make it more of a history/period piece.
I'll indulge soon!

TIA for your knowledge on the old sohc's!

Welcome

Let me be the first to say WOW beautiful bike!
Looks to be a real nice all stock (except exhaust system) survivor.

Welcome!

Good looking bike!
My 550 look similar to your 550, except the handle bar and pipe...

Very nice Sam! My bike does not have the grab rail, otherwise complete.
My pipe is in storage. It seems most of the bikes' value is in the pipe.
Carbs rebuilt, compression checked, front caliper rebuild also.
I am blowing occasional fuses right now...

I really want to change the personality of this bike. I am trying to do so in a manner that I can return it to stock without too much trouble.
You know, long tank, short seat, etc...   ;)

If your going to cafe that bike Id really like your seat. Please dont cut that seat. I also need some nice rear turn signals. Please e-mail me about that seat. Thanks

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!
