« on: November 02, 2008, 06:28:53 PM »
Just posting as FYI/source. Fork mount turn signals. Pretty cool. Almost worth pulling my rusty ears off for.

yea they are expensive and if you pull the ears off you might find you need to replace the fork tubes.

My ears are really only bad on the inside for now so I'll leave em be and maybe see if I can get some rustoleum in there.

The fork tubes were pretty rusted though so I wire wheeled them and then started thinking of painting them black to the bottom of the triple tree and getting another hanger for the bucket. Thus poking around for turn signals  ;D

my tubes were so bad it took me 10 min to slide them out of the trees! as soon as I win the lotto im ordering new tubes from cycle x. Im running them rusted right now but it looks like hell. i bought el cheapo headlight mounts in chrome so it looks really bad. I hate chrome

EXACTLY! Blacked out would look pretty reasonable I think and since they're in pretty good shape cheaper too.

I got lucky looking for a drift and it turned out my Sears brand impact was just right to give them a nudge. I'd probably still be trying to get them out otherwise.

Yea I had no choice, my ears were trashed and im going for a cafe look so I figured I could eventually get them powdercoated but now I see them on ebay in black all the time. when I was looking originally all that I could find was chrome.

The fork tubes on my old CB450 were pittied pretty bad under the stock headlite ears, so I just sanded them the best I could and sprayed them black. No one ever knew, and I actually got compliments on them ! Pic of my buddy (and new owner) on the 450 -->

I thought about that proteal but it was so hard to get them out i figured if I painted them I would just scratch the paint trying to slide them back in.

Hey Joe. What's the deal with the clip ons? More info please. I'm planning on picking up a Cl 350 or 450 this Sunday and want to chop it up real good.
