K&N Air-Pods and RE-jetting?
« on: November 05, 2008, 07:26:11 AM »
I don't know much about my carbs yet, and Im not too worried about anything I have planned but the K&N Air-Pods Im going to get for the carbs. I've tried to find as much as I can about "re-jetting" and that it would only be required if you change the air-intake to allow more air to pass through them- which is what I plan on doing.  Will I need to re-jet with the K&N intakes, and if so- what exactly do I have to do?  ???

hi mate you will need to change a few things with the pods here is what i have done to my 550 chop and she runs like a dream no problems at all..... BUT setting her up takes a lot of time and patience beleive me, and im sure many will agree

Drag pipes to replace 4 into1
Replaced main jet from stock to 120
lifted needle from stock 3rd to 4th notch
boyer electronic ignition
mixture screw 2 full turns check alter after checking plugs

that is mine but i will say she pulls away a dream ticks over a dream but beware its took a good few days and had the carbs off many times to perfect... well worth it when she is done..
