It kind of looks like it's made out of Legos...

It's interesting looking and the specs look pretty impressive.  The range is nearly equal to my little 400F but it doesn't take 2.5 hours to refill mine.  I'd like the look more if it was more stylized along the side flanks.  I like these older CBs because everything isn't wrapped in flat plastic bodywork.  It'll probably appeal to the crotch rocket fans though.

Looks are interesting, but my main point of interest was in this particular block of text

Instant Torque
Max torque at Zero RPM. Max torque at 60 mph. Max torque everywhere in between. An electric motor offers something no gasoline engine can match: over 100 ft-lbs of gut-wrenching torque wherever and whenever you want.

If you take a look at their torque curve chart, the torque starts falling off as the speed increases.  Whenever, wherever is an exaggeration.  The great part of electric motors is 100% from idle and 100 lb-ft sounds pretty peppy to me.

Don't laugh - there are plans to run a zero carbon footprint race at the TT in the Isle of Man this year - electric bikes all over the place. It'll be a very interesting race but not great to listen to on radio  ;D

Sounds like a vivid imagination might come in handy.  :D

I could see owning one of those with a higher distance on the charge.

IF that website is right... 150MPH top speed?
Li-ion battery is a nice touch. LOTS of advantages over most other rechargeable batteries from what I have read on them.

Not the best visual lines I want in a 'lectric bike though.
Ever see Akira?

:)

Ok, mabey not that big, but that style would be cool.

Yeah, I'm not in love with the visual. Very KTM inspired, I would say.

I sure wouldn't mind owning one, though. Looks like a blast... over short distances...  :)

I also frequent the Americade rally's message boards. Lots of very "muffler minded" people. I once posted a question there that if there was an electric sports bike that could match the performance characteristics of today's modern gasoline sports bikes, would they be interested in it. The general consensus, even from these Goldwingers, was that even for them, it was all about the noise.  :D

I'd get one if it had a longer range. For most of my commuting it would be fine. But when I get out for a nice trip, 150 miles is kinda of short, you know?

I'd have to put a baseball card in the spokes so cars could hear me coming.

A pretty cool idea, though.  One of those "if I was a millionaire" bikes, along with a Vincent and an MV Augusta.  You know, the bikes I'd ride around my private island on.

Reading the pres bits about it, looks like the design used to work for Tesla Motors until he went out on his own.
