Camchain front sliders . Which one ?
« on: November 09, 2008, 10:56:30 am »
I'm re-building my 750 K1 engine and I'm to the point where I'm about to assemble the top end .
I have two camchain sliders . One I got from CycleX with the rest of my new tesioner parts and the other I bought because it looks like the one that I pulled from my engine.

The one on the left is like the one that came out of my engine . I am using the same head as i had before (early K non removable oil jets ) with a later set of barrels ,probably K2-4 . Which one do I use? ??? Thanks All :)

Please wait for others to chime in,but I believe they are interchangable on all models, the longer one is an update from original short one.   Rock On

Well, I used the long piece in place of the short one in my recent rebuild. 3000 miles elapsed since installation without incident. But that's just my one experience.

You would think if the later part is an improvement they would discontinue the earlier one.
